Our chironomid / emerger patterns are very special. You won't find any like these on the web anywhere. These are made to our specific specifications using our colours, materials, Togen Hooks and Premium Beads on the bead head models. All are coated with epoxy for durability and shine.
I have fly fished since the mid sixties and introduced to chironomid fishing in the early seventies by the late Master Fly Tyer and Fly Fisher Jack Shaw. In those day's most chironomid patterns were tyed with wool now we have some real nice synthetic materials and the patterns have become very realistic looking. I have put out a special request to our fly tyers to duplicate some of my very own designs and some commercial tyed patterns offered here.
These chironomid / emerger patterns are not bead heads they have a thread head. The reason for this is that they are light weight and can be fished at the end of a greased leader as an Emerger pattern when the boil is on, or put a small split shot about 12 - 18 inches above the fly and sink it to the bottom. At the right time both methods are very effective.
