Our bead head chironomid patterns are very special. You won't find any like these on the web anywhere. These are made to our specific specifications using our colours, materials, Togen Hooks and Premium Beads.
I have fly fished since the mid sixties and introduced to chironomid fishing in the early seventies by the late Master Fly Tyer and Fly Fisher Jack Shaw. In those day's most chironomid patterns were tyed with wool now we have some real nice synthetic materials and the patterns have become very realistic looking. I have put out a special request to our fly tyers to duplicate some of my very own designs and some standard patterns.
These bead head chironomid patterns give the patterns a little extra flash for attracting, plus weight for sinking them. Sometimes all it takes to get into fish is a different colour bead with the same body colours that is why you will see several of our bead head chironomids with the same body colour but different bead colours.
Fish these about a foot off the bottom and retrieve painfully slow. Keep a sharp eye on your strike indicator for any unusual movement sideways or down then set the hook, not too fast, give you rod a steady pull upward then when you feel the fish set the hook.
